Washington: Referring to the attacks on the Hindu community in America and many parts of the world, an American organization said that an atmosphere of hatred is being created towards the people of this community. Joel Finkelstein, co-founder and chief science officer of the Network Contagion Research Institute, said: He said this while outlining the main points of his latest research at an event organized by the ‘College of Hindus of North America’ (COHNA) at the US Parliament House complex. He said incidents of vandalism of Hindu temples in the US and Canada have increased in recent times. He told members of the Hindu American community that we are seeing low-level protests taking place in England. He was referring to the violence against the Hindu community in Britain.

This is a non-profit organization that studies misinformation, misleading content and hate speech on social media. He said that an atmosphere of hatred is being created against Hindus. In reply to a question, Finkelstein said that there is a possibility of increasing hatred against the people of the Hindu community all over the world. MP Hank Johnson expressed concern over the growing incidence of hatred towards Hindus in America. He is the only Buddhist MP in the current parliament.
Johnson said we must unite against hatred of our religion, caste and background. But unfortunately there have been hate incidents in America especially against Hindu Americans. Nikunj Trivedi of the COHNA organization said that the contribution of Hindu Americans to American society has deepened over the years. He said we have different backgrounds. We are not just scientists or boring people sitting in a classroom. The organization said that according to FBI data, hate crimes against Indian-Americans have increased by 500 percent.
Rupee all time low after Fed’s tough decision
The rupee opened at a record low of 80.2850 on Thursday, compared to its previous trading day’s closing level of 79.9750, after the US Federal Reserve hiked interest rates. After this, the stock market also saw a decline. The Sensex fell 337 points to 59,119 while the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed down 88 points to 17,629. The rupee closed at an all-time low of 80.86 on Thursday. Due to this, the rupee closed at the level of 79.9750 in the previous trading session. This is the biggest one-day fall in the rupee since February 24.
