New Delhi: Due to many festivals including Dussehra, Diwali in the month of October, there are many bank holidays in banks and government offices. Banks across the country will be closed for a total of 21 days due to the festival. These holidays also include Sundays. That is, in this month of October, the bank employees are going to have a bumper lottery in the matter of leave. Only 9 days to work. Bank employees will also get 6 days mini vacation in this month. Today October 1 is the first Saturday of the month and banks are closed for customers today due to half-yearly accounting day. Bank employees will work but banks will remain closed for general customers.
Meanwhile, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the list of October bank holidays. According to that, bank branches will be closed for 21 days in the month of October. However, banks will remain closed for 20 days for bank employees. These holidays fall on different days in different states. These holidays depend on the calendar of the states. The current month has holidays including Gandhi Jyanti, Dussehra, Durga Puja, Diwali, Chhath Puja, Bhai Bij, Gorvadhan Puja.
Bank employees will get 6 days vacation
Bank employees will get a mini vacation from the fourth Saturday of the month to October 27 Thursday, till October 22 in the current month. If bank employees take leave on October 28 and 29 i.e. Friday and Saturday, they will get 9 consecutive days off.
