Axis Bank issued an alert
Axis Bank has announced an alert in the hall itself. According to the bank, if you are advised to download the AnyDesk mobile app through social media or any other means, you should not do so. After downloading this app your bank account can be empty in a moment. A similar warning has also been issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). AnyDesk is a software that can perform bank account transactions through your mobile or laptop.

According to the information released by Axis Bank, online fraud has increased a lot these days. In order to gain access to customers’ phones, fraudsters use various methods of entrapment and fraudulent transactions. Several methods are being used for this. In this fraudsters may call you to complete the KYC process. You may be asked to download a desktop application such as AnyDesk or TeamViewer, or you may be asked to open a link. You are asked to share a 9 digit code. which allows fraudsters to gain access to your device. With this they can do anything from your device and get all your information. Also after sharing the device they can find out many confidential things like device PIN, pattern, MPIN and this leads to unauthorized transactions from your account.
Protect this way
Never share your personal details on social media. Doing so puts your account at risk. Some other banks, including State Bank of India (SBI), often warn customers. On behalf of the banks, the customers have been clearly told that if they share their personal information like account number, mobile number or personal account related information on social media, the bank will not be responsible for any loss caused to them. Banks also sometimes request customers to delete this information.
