Unilever (HUL) has withdrawn some of its brands of shampoo from the market. The company has recalled the dry shampoo brands from the US market. Dry shampoo brands that Unilever has recalled include Dove and Tresseme dry shampoo. Unilever KDav Dry Shampoo is mainly sold in the US and Canadian markets. Global FMCG major Unilever Plc has recalled some popular brands of dry shampoo from the market. The reason is that it had benzene related contamination. The company has admitted that benzene can cause cancer. Other brands whose dry shampoos have been recalled include Nexus, Suave and Tigina. According to a notice posted on the website of the US Food and Drug Administration, it is Rockaholic and Bed Head dry shampoo that pose a risk of cancer.
