New Delhi: Government may soon give a big happy news for Central Employees. After the additional demand in DA is over, now it is the turn of Fitment Factor. Central employees have been waiting for a long time to raise it, but now it seems the wait is about to come to an end. It was earlier expected to increase at the beginning of the new financial year, but it did not happen. Now that employees have been gifted with an increase in dearness allowance, there is hope of an increase in fitment as well.
Demanded to increase to 3.68%
Fitment factor plays an important role in determining the salary of central government employees. If it is increased, the salary may increase significantly. Central employees have long been demanding to increase it to 3.68 times. It may be noted that currently the fitment factor has been fixed at 2.57 times. According to the information, the government can take a big decision in this regard before the end of 2022. However, no official announcement or comment has been made by the central government yet.
Due to the fitment factor, the salary can be increased
If the fitment factor given to central employees is increased, it will be another big gift from the government after the DA increase. Talking about the role of this fitment factor in employee pay, according to the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, the pay of central employees is fixed on the basis of their base pay and fitment factor apart from allowances. That is, due to the increase in it, the salary is bound to increase.
The same increase as six years ago continues
The government had increased the fitment factor given to central employees by 2.57 times in the year 2016, about six years ago. The 7th Pay Commission was also implemented in the same year. Due to this increase, the minimum salary of the employees at that time was Rs. 6000 directly to Rs. 18,000 had become. Now the government can increase the salary of central employees again this year. If there is a possible increase in it, the minimum basic pay will increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000.
Salary will increase so and so
Currently the fitment factor that central employees are getting is 2.57 times. Based on that the minimum vesik salary is 18000 rupees. Now the employees are demanding that it be increased to 3.68 times i.e. the minimum basic pay should be increased to 26,000. If we calculate the salary according to the fitment factor available now, then the salary of Rs. 18,000, then he will get 18,000 X 2.57 = Rs. 46,260 gets. On the other hand, if it is increased to 3.68, the salary will be 26000 X 3.68 = 95,680 rupees, excluding other employee allowances.
