New Delhi: On November 16, some assailants opened fire in a market in the south-western city of Azeh in Iran. Due to which 5 people including 2 women lost their lives. At the same time, it has been learned that some other people and security personnel have also been injured in this attack. According to the information, firing was also done in Isfahan city of Iran. In which 2 army personnel lost their lives. In both the attacks, the attackers came on motorcycles. The motive behind the attack is not yet known. The attack is believed to be related to two months of anti-hijab protests. Where a girl lost her life in police custody. It has been reported that 10 people, including security personnel, were injured in the attack in Izeh.
Waliullah Hayati, deputy governor of Khuzestan province, said two women were among the dead. It has been learned from Sessions that several groups of protesters gathered in different parts of Izeh late on Wednesday night. While they were shouting anti-government slogans, they pelted stones at the police. Police fired tear gas canisters to disperse them. In the meantime, someone had set fire to the madrasa of the Shia community.
People came on the road to protest the death of the girl child
It is worth mentioning that people have been demonstrating on the roads since September in protest against the death of a 22-year-old girl in police custody in Iran. Acting in the name of morality in Iran, police arrested a girl named Mahsa Amini and died in custody on September 16. The Iranian government has consistently claimed that Amini was not mistreated, while Amini’s family says her body bore bruises and beating marks. Amini was detained for not wearing hijab properly. According to information, at least 344 people have lost their lives, while 15,820 people have been arrested in the ongoing protests in the country for the past two months. Questions are also being raised about the actions being taken by Iranian forces to stop the demonstrations.
