Surat: BSNL will sell about 3000 land parcels out of total 15000 land parcels with BSNL through online auction, tender system in next 3-4 years. Addressing a press conference held at Surat BSNL Bhavan on Friday, the company’s New Delhi-based Director-HR Arvind Vadnerkar said that BSNL will sell Surat-Bharuch lands under the Monetization of Land Scheme. 5,359 square meter residential zone land opposite Ghoddod Road Panjrapola, Karimabad, Surat will be auctioned at a floor price of Rs 38.89 crore through tender process.
A demonstration was given to 15 builders of the city on Friday. Similarly, a 5200 square meter commercial plot of bsnl BTS at Kanbiwad, Bharuch will be auctioned at a floor price of 25.23 crores. BSNL is proposing to monetize, out of which Rs 7-8 thousand crore is likely to be realized. Currently, two land parcels at Surat and Bharuch in Gujarat have been put up for auction with a base price of Rs.40 crore and Rs.25 crore respectively. The auction will be held online on the MSTC site. This process has been done with the approval of the government along with the title clear. Ahmedabad-based Chief General Manager Sandeep Savarkar was present in the press conference.
Surat, Tapi, Valsad, Dang and Selwas will set up mobile towers in 140 villages without network
BSNL Chief General Manager Sandeep Savarkar said that mobile towers will be erected in villages that do not have mobile signal network in Surat, Tapi, Valsad, Dang and Selwas. By November, 280 towers will be erected in 380 signalless villages of Gujarat. 40 towers are being erected in 65 villages of Selwas, 30 towers are being erected in Tapi district. Rest of the towers are coming up in Narmada, Bharuch, Valsad, Dang districts. Most mobile towers are being erected in 140 villages of South Gujarat including Dang, Selwas.
As per the Government of India mandate BSNL is required to provide Indian Made 4G to cover around 555 villages of Gujarat and DDNH, where currently no operator’s network is available. BSNL is going to install 242 new towers across Gujarat to cover these exposed villages. Most of these towers will be solar operated. To be established in the forest of village panchayat lands. BSNL’s network in Diamond Burse and Selwas Smart City
BSNL’s Ahmedabad-based Chief General Manager Sandeep Savarkar said that BSNL has been working for mobile connectivity in Surat Diamond Burse and Selwas Smart City for the past one year. BSNL has got the task of setting up the optical fiber network here.
