An experienced old monk came to a village wandering around….This Mahatma was roaming around leading a monk life…eating whatever he could find…sleeping under a tree…and talking about his experience and knowledge with whoever he met….no desire..no No demand ..no hut ..no bed …no preaching ..ashram ..thought of making disciples …and no insistence to listen to one’s own preaching and improve …a true renunciation monk… such a Mahatma came to the village as a priest ..the villagers welcomed Gave…refused to go to anyone’s house…and said that he would accept alms from only one house….Every day the villagers came to the monk and said ‘Father, talk about something so that our life will improve..’ Days passed.
The monk now decided to leave and bid farewell to the villagers… The villagers said, ‘Before leaving, father, tell us what to do so that we can always be happy in life.’ Sadhu explained nicely…..Sadhu said, ‘Keep four things in mind. First thing – enrich yourself with knowledge and experience and continue to benefit others .. work hard wherever you go … be helpful … make yourself indispensable and on someone Don’t be a burden…. Another thing, stay healthy…a healthy mind resides in a healthy and healthy body, and to serve others…to help others, it is very important to stay healthy yourself.
So let’s go everyday ..exercise and eat in proportion…sick..being sick and being a burden on someone..it is better to be self-sufficient than to take someone’s service. A life dependent on someone is painful and a life dependent on someone is happy.’ The villagers were listening attentively to the monk. The monk continued, ‘Third thing – give up laziness… a lazy person will suffer sooner or later. Don’t let laziness surround you too… Pramandi has to depend on others for all work and is a parasite. Life is not fun. 4th thing – earn money with real hard work and use every single money well .. stay away from hobby, show off, hypocrisy, laziness and don’t be proud of Lakshmi you got as God’s gift and blessing and always use Lakshmi in a good way…. If you live your life by remembering these four things, you will get happiness in life and you will be able to give happiness to others.’ Saying this, the monk left.
