Surat: Asim Pan, Assistant Vice President, Reliance Industries Limited, while addressing a seminar on ‘Polyester – The Road Ahead’ organized by The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s GFRRC (Global Fabric Resource and Research Centre) at Samriddhi, Nanpura today told the textile industry in Surat. A technical textile project is made from Rs 5 crore, small entrepreneurs can start this project when Surat is a hub of MSMEs.

Asim Pan further said that airlight products are made of solid fiber. This product protects the body and does not allow the external environment to affect the body immediately. Allchyma products heat the body in cold and cool in heat. This product performs like CoolTech fiber and is an all-climate product. Superfeel (soft touch) products are similar to cotton spun, but do not run as pilling. Information was also given about the Kotluk product which looks like cotton. Also, industrial yarn (geo grid) is used in the walls of the flyover. This yarn seems to work to prevent oil erosion. According to a survey of the Indian tire market, the use of polyester tirecoats has increased like nylon tirecoats.
Chamber of Commerce President Himanshu Bodawala said that the demand for polyester fiber is increasing day by day in the global market. According to a survey by Wazir Advisor, polyester fiber will capture 59 percent of the world market by 2030, so now the whole world is focusing on sustainability. On this occasion, Chamber Vice President Ramesh Vaghasia, then former President Ashish Gujarati, Honorary Minister Bhavesh Taylor and Former Presidents Praful Shah and Mahendra Kajiwala, GFRRC Co-Chairman Umesh Krishnani were present.
