New Delhi: India ranks second in the world in terms of the number of people who are interested in the stock market and invest in the stock market, according to a study. A study conducted by CMC Markets, a UK-based financial services provider, has found that the number of people interested in the stock market is significantly larger in India and India ranks second in the world in terms of the number of such people. Google Trends data was analyzed by this company to conduct this study. People who are interested in stock market and share trading often search on Google. From this it was found out how many people searched about the stock market in the last 12 months and based on that the countries were ranked.

The study found that Singapore has the highest number of people interested in the stock market and share trading. With Papp’s search score out of a possible 700, it ranked first in the world for searches about the Singapore stock market. Singaporeans made the most searches with terms like stocks, buy stocks and interest rates. India has come second with a search score of 492. India ranks second in the world in terms of the number of people interested in the stock market, taking into account people searching for the terms stock market and swing trading. Canada has come third with a score of 462. America is fourth and United Arab Emirates is fifth and Australia is sixth.
