Adani Enterprises to exit Dow Jones
Now it has been announced that the shares of Adani Enterprises will be excluded from the Dow Jones Sustainability Index of America. The decision to exclude Adani Enterprises stocks from the Dow Jones Sustainability Index has been taken due to the continued sharp fall in the company’s shares. The Hindenburg Report made various claims about the Adani Group, including stock manipulation-accounting fraud. Taking action after media stakeholder analysis on all these allegations, Index has decided to delist Adani’s company. According to the report, Adani will be delisted from Dow Jones on February 7.
Lower circuit in 5 stocks on Friday too
The news of Dow Jones Indices’ decision to spin out Adani Enterprises has had a direct impact on the company’s shares. The stock market saw a sharp decline as the day’s trading began and it fell as much as 35 percent. Shares of Adani Enterprises Limited traded down 35.00% or 547.80 at Rs. was trading at 1,017.45. Besides, Adani Power also engaged in the lower circuit on Friday and after falling 5 percent to Rs. Trading at 191.95. Adani Total Gas is also on the lower circuit today and Rs. Trading at 1622.35.
Apart from this Adani Wilmar Limited also has a lower circuit till 11 am. 5% by noon to Rs. 399.95 has come down. Adani Green Energy Ltd fell 10% to Rs. 935.90. The scrip of Adani Transmission Ltd was also lower today and was down 10% at 1,396.05. While Adani Ports fell by 8.12% to Rs. 424.90, Ambuja Cements fell 4.89% to Rs. 335.15 and ACC Limited fell by 4.36 percent to Rs. 1,761.45.
NSE also gave Adani a jolt
