New Delhi: Many cases of misbehavior by passengers have come to light in the last few months. Air India’s urine (Urine) scam has made discussions not only in the country but also abroad. The latest case is of a passenger plane coming from New York to Delhi where a passenger urinated on a person sitting nearby. The drunken passenger has been taken into custody. In this regard, the Delhi Police released a statement saying that they have received a complaint in this regard, after which the police is investigating the matter.

The drunken passenger who urinated on a co-passenger on American Airlines flight AA292 from New York to New Delhi has been identified as 26-year-old Arya Vohra. Accused Arya Vohra was taken into custody immediately after the flight landed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. During interrogation, the accused said that he was sleeping when the incident took place and did not remember anything.

According to Delhi Police, the American Airlines flight took off from New York at 9:16 pm on Friday and landed at Delhi’s IGI airport 14 hours and 26 minutes later at 10:12 pm on Saturday. The accused, Arya Vohra, is allegedly a student of an American university and had urinated while sleeping in a state of intoxication. According to Delhi Police, the accused Arya Vohra studies in the USA and is a resident of Delhi’s Defense Colony area. Delhi Police says that a complaint has been lodged in this matter, after which legal action is being taken.

On the other hand, accused Arya says that he did not do it intentionally, but because he was asleep, the urine leaked out and fell on the fellow passenger. The victim then complained to the flight staff. The airline took it seriously and informed the air traffic control at IGI airport. ATC alerted CISF personnel and later handed over the accused passenger to Delhi Police.
A similar case came to light last year as well. This is not the first time such an act has happened with co-passengers on a plane. Last year, a female company official urinated on a female co-passenger on an Air India flight. Later the matter got heated and the accused Shankar Mishra was arrested 42 days after the incident. After the incident, where the company fired Shankar Mishra, the DGCA banned him from flying for 6 months.
