Surat: A complaint has been registered in the Pune Police Station that a Garg father and two sons of Haryana Ambala along with a merchant of Shyamashree Creations at Land Mark Empire at Magob bought cloth goods of 19.63 lakhs without paying the payment and met with a cloth broker.

Ashish Bhagwanilal Jain, 33, who lives in Swastik Park Model Town at Parvat Patiya, works as a manager at Miteshbhai Aggarwal’s Shyamashree Creations at Landmark Empire in Magob. In September 2020, Arpit Ghotra got the information from the cloth market and called Ashish, “I am working as a cloth broker in the cloth market of Ambala in the name of Waheguru Agency, I have good trading parties who send the cloth goods under my responsibility from the cloth market of Surat, to whom I have made payments on time.” I give You send the goods to my trading parties and the payment will be my responsibility’, he said.
Ashish came to trust this cloth broker and on his request, Garg sent the goods to father and sons. R.C.C. Through transport, Akshit Kumar Garg was running the same shop from different firms of both the brothers under the name of Garg Traders and Sumeet Garg was the owner of A-One Suit and Sari who was the administrator of both the firms and his father Suresh Garg used to sit at the shop. Akshit Kumar’s firm Garg Traders had given textile goods worth 36.60 lakhs from February 2021 to February 2022. Out of which the payment of 20.07 lakhs has been paid piecemeal and the remaining 17.53 lakhs has not been paid till date. And in his brother Sumit Garg’s firm, he had given a total of 6.18 lakhs of cloth goods by 2020 and 2021, of which 4.08 lakhs had been paid and the remaining 2.09 lakhs had not been paid.
19.63 lakhs due from both the brothers has not been paid till date. On going to his address, it was learned that the name of the shop was changed and the business started with the new name and the old business was closed. The Garg brothers said, “Our old business has been closed, work with us in a new business and forget about the payment of the old cloths”. The Pune police have filed a complaint against the cloth broker and Garg’s father and the two sons and are conducting further investigation.
