New Delhi: Khalistan supporters are protesting not only in India but also abroad. Amritpal Singh, who is rebelling with the demand of Khalistan in Punjab, is now getting support from Punjabi supporters of Khalistan living abroad. Along with this, like India, countries like Britain, America and Canada have started protesting against the arrest of Amritpal. On Sunday evening, Khalistanis took down the tricolor of India that was flying outside the office of the British High Commission in Britain and vandalized it heavily. Against these measures, India has sought an explanation from Britain in this matter. However, other Indians living in Britain retaliated to the Khalistanis by hoisting a tricolor bigger than the one hoisted by Khalistan supporters. On the other hand, Amritpal’s supporters have shown their strength in Canada, where most Punjabis live, and have announced a huge rally today, Monday at 12 noon.
According to the information received, the Indian High Commission in London was vandalized in protest against the action against Khalistan supporter Amritpal Singh. Hundreds of Khalistan supporters gathered outside the High Commission on Sunday evening. Entered the building and took down the tricolor. India strongly opposed this and summoned the British High Commissioner in Delhi. Meanwhile, a big tricolor has now been hoisted on the High Commission.
Earlier, the Khalistan supporters who reached the High Commission were holding Khalistan flags and posters of Amritpal Singh. The posters read, ‘Free Amritpal Singh’, ‘We Want Justice’ and ‘We stand with Amritpal Singh’. One person was even heard calling ‘Khalistan Zindabad’.
The Ministry of External Affairs protested
The Ministry of External Affairs of India expressed strong objection to this entire matter. The Ministry said – Why was adequate security not kept outside the High Commission? Khalistan was able to enter inside only due to lack of security. The indifference of the British Government regarding the security of Indian diplomats and embassies in Britain cannot be tolerated. This is in direct violation of the provisions of the Vienna Convention. We hope that immediate action will be taken and the accused will be arrested.
The demonstrators also raised slogans
Protesters can also be heard shouting slogans in the viral video. They are raising slogans against the Government of India. Police rushed to the scene after receiving news of the commotion outside the Indian High Commission in London. At the same time, after the incident, the British High Commissioner to India, Alex Ellis, condemned it. He said – this is completely unacceptable. I condemn the commotion in the premises and people of Indian High Commission in UK.
Police have arrested 114 people from Amritpal
The Punjab Police has been conducting search operations in various parts of the state for the past three days to nab Amritpal, the accused in the attack on Ajanla Police Station. Police arrested 34 more associates of Amritpal on Sunday. Police have arrested 114 people so far. Flag march is being taken out across the state. Amritpal’s supporters, on the other hand, claimed that the police took him into custody late at night. However, the police denied this.
Amritpal is a disciple of Khalistani sitting in England
According to the preliminary investigation of Punjab Police, Amritpal’s name is being linked with Avatar Singh Khanda. Atwar Singh Khanda is a close associate of Babbar Khalsa chief Paramjit Singh Pamma, who is holed up in Pakistan and runs ‘Babbar Khalsa UK’.
Police have received inputs that Babbar Khalsa is currently working on Project K2. Under this, there is a plan to once again create a Khalistan movement in Punjab along with the incendiary activities in Kashmir. Babbar Khalsa International chief Paramjit Singh Pamma and Avtar Singh Khanda sent Amritpal to Punjab with the aim of reviving the Khalistan movement in Punjab.
