It has a starting ex-showroom price of Rs 7.98 lakh. The company claims that it is the cheapest electric vehicle (EV) in the country.

The company has designed this car keeping the young generation in mind. Talking about its body, it is even smaller than Tata Tiago EV. The car gets LED headlamps, LED taillights, daytime running lights and 12-inch steel wheels. It gives a better look to the side profile of the vehicle. Inside the car is a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Android and Auto Apple Car Play. Control buttons are provided on the steering wheel.
Safety features
As with the safety features in cars, this car has dual airbags, anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminder, speed alert system, tire pressure monitoring system, reverse parking camera and speed sensing. There is a door lock function. Along with this, impact sensing auto door unlock function is also provided.
Battery and driving range
MG Motors is offering a 17.3 kWh battery in the car. Its motor generates 41bhp of power and 110Nm of torque. The company claims that it will run up to 230 km on a single charge. Its battery takes about 7 hours to charge.
When will the booking start?
Bookings for the MG Comet EV are going to start from May 15. It can be booked through the company’s website and dealerships. The test drive of the car has started. Along with booking, delivery will also start from next month. It has been reported that the company has launched this car at a lower price than the Tata Tiago EV.
