Cory, a food fan from Wales, took to social media to rave about his local Greggs outlet.
The 26-year-old Greggs super fan, who has previously referred to himself as ‘Greggs on legs’, explained that at this chain, you can nab sweet snacks for as little as 60p, as well as festive bakes and baguettes for bargain prices.
Cory referred to the outlet store as ‘second hand Greggs’, as he said: “The best thing about Barry is the second hand Greggs.”
The Greggs Outlet stores, which are in England, Scotland and Wales, sell day-old goods for half price and less.
With these brilliant shops, you’ll be able to nab your favourite snacks, with some up to 75% less than what the standard Greggs charge.
There’s currently 30 outlet stores across the country and they were originally opened to support socially deprived areas, offering them cheaper food as well as being sustainable by offering unsold items.
Food is sent to these stores if the chain’s nearby factories have made too many batches, normal priced stores have been unable to sell all their stock, or if items are misshapen.
Cory then shared: “You can get any two pasties for £1.40, even the festive bakes.
“My favourite is the corned beef pasty, but they’re always sold out. Me and Greggs are gonna have beef soon – corned beef.
“So I went for sausage, cheese and bean.
“And the baguettes are only £1.20. That’s so cheap!”
Cory then showed off the sweet treats, as he added: “They do loads of sweet stuff here too.
“£2.90 for a massive box of 12 doughnuts. That’s proper nice and a proper bargain.
“Box of yum yums, 60p or a box of doughnuts for 60p.
“I’m getting the ham and cheese baguette.”
Not only can you buy tasty food on the cheap, but they’ll also heat it up for you too, as he continued: “And the best thing about this Greggs, they heat up your baguette for you. You gotta be kidding me.
“All of this cost me £2.60 and look how melted the cheese is.
“The baguette’s nice and crispy. This is stunning.
“If you’re near Barry anytime soon, you need to try it out.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @corysworldd, has clearly impressed many, as it was shared just one day ago, but it has quickly racked up a whopping 375,500 views.
