ITTI Sports Institute is proud to announce the launch of its Master’s program in Sports Law, with a specific focus on football, addressing the growing demand for legal professionals with specialized expertise in the field. Aptly titled the “Master in Football Law”, this program is designed to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge and insights into the intricate legal landscape of football.
The Master’s program adopts a holistic approach, delving into football law through both “horizontal” and “vertical” lenses, enabling students to navigate the complexities of legal practice within various football organizations. Whether aspiring to specialize in Football Law or seeking to enhance existing legal practices such as litigation, corporate law, intellectual property, tax law, or real estate law, participants will benefit from unparalleled expertise in Football Law.
One of the distinguishing features of the program is its distinguished faculty comprising over 50 active professionals who are leaders in their respective fields within prestigious law firms and institutions. Students will have the opportunity to learn from and interact with these esteemed practitioners, gaining valuable insights and networking opportunities.
A key highlight of the Master’s program is its direct engagement with the football sector. All instructors are highly accomplished law professionals actively involved in the football industry, ensuring immediate immersion and access to exclusive career prospects. Moreover, students will have the chance to undertake professional internships at renowned law firms specializing in football law, club legal departments, and prominent football institutions.
The curriculum covers a wide range of topics essential for football law practitioners, including advising clubs, footballers, institutions, football associations, leagues, agents, brands, investors, and other stakeholders. Participants will also learn about negotiating and drafting football contracts, player transfers and registrations, doping cases, sponsorship agreements, image rights exploitation, and procedures before national and international organizations, courts, and arbitration tribunals, including FIFA judicial bodies and the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
Furthermore, the master sports law emphasizes the application of general legal skills in conventional areas such as tax law, intellectual property law, corporate law, etc., to the specificities of the football industry, ensuring graduates are well-rounded professionals equipped to excel in diverse legal environments.
To foster active participation and maximize learning outcomes, students are encouraged to prepare for each session, dedicating approximately 2 to 3 hours of pre-session work.
The Master in Football Law by ITTI promises to be a transformative experience for legal professionals seeking to make their mark in the dynamic and evolving field of football law.
