Angry punters who vowed to never vote Tory will hand blank cheque to hard-left socialist Labour

WAKE up, Britain! We are sleepwalking into a new dark age.

We are about to hand absolute power to a hard-left socialist party bent on smashing our Westminster system of democracy — and seizing control for a generation.

Sir Keir Starmer and his hard-left socialist party are bent on smashing our Westminster system of democracy[/caption]

Angry punters who vow they will never vote Tory again will hand a blank cheque to a Labour government determined to ensure they never get that chance.

Vote-rigging for 16 and 17-year-olds is just for starters. Votes for EU citizens will be next.

A revolution in the accountability of elected MPs is already on its way.

Millions of loyalists who backed the Conservative Party through the Thatcher years, the Cold War and Brexit want to punish it for 14 years of blundering misrule.

They will seek revenge for soaring immigration, record taxes and broken public services by staying home or voting for Nigel Farage’s one-man Reform Party.

Let there be no doubt. This would be a catastrophic act of self-harm.

Farage will not be forming a government.

His role is to smash the Tories, split the anti-Labour vote and hand Starmer a landslide.

A pro-Reform revolt will bring even higher taxes, increased immigration, more costly “green crap”, never-ending gender wars and woke rubbish.

Free speech under Starmer’s Orwellian witch-finders will become “hate speech”.

For a PM who “took the knee” to Black Lives Matter, white privilege will be a punishable offence.

So will squirrelling your savings away to avoid tax.

As things stand, the next government will not be held to account by an effective Opposition.

Labour will form an “elective dictatorship” under a furtive Prime Minister who has broken every promise he has made as leader, backed by ludicrous Lib Dem joker Ed Davey.

Harry Potter creator JK Rowling has summed up “Sir Shifty” in a scathing attack over his claim that “some women have a penis”.

The feminist champion signalled she will not vote Labour — the party she once handed £1million in hard cash — because she distrusts Starmer and has a “poor opinion” of his character.

Rowling is a shrewd observer who shared her fears about Starmer’s devious nature with 14million Twitter followers.

Glimpses of an unexpectedly thin-skinned and tetchy Starmer have also shocked TV viewers.

Devious nature

The wannabe statesman blew up when an audience laughed at his oft-repeated memories of his toolmaker father, absurdly accusing them of sneering.

He snapped at Question Time host Fiona Bruce for quizzing him over supporting Jeremy Corbyn.

And he turned as puce as a smacked bottom when bested by Rishi Sunak over Labour’s visa plans for 95,000 illegal migrants.

“They are queuing up in Calais for a Labour government,” said Rishi.

“You are going to need a bigger boat.”

Britain will change for ever if Labour wins on Thursday.

A Starmer government will immediately scrap laws limiting strike-happy union barons.

Islamist extremists are already flexing their muscles over Labour foreign policy.

Seventeen million Brexiteers who voted to take back control will see us rejoin the EU by the back door — this time without a referendum.

Once the Tories are smashed to smithereens, Starmer will make sure there is no one to ride to the rescue.

Looming nightmare

A sinister plan to hobble democratically elected MPs has been drawn up by Gordon Brown and endorsed by Starmer.

It will hand economic and political power to devolved assemblies and city halls, many now bankrupt, mostly under Labour control.

Any attempt to reverse these moves by a future government will be refereed by the Supreme Court, a Labour creation.

For a glimpse of the future, take a look at the shabby record of the Welsh and Scottish regimes and the chaos under London Mayor Sadiq Khan.

Disenchanted Tories need to think carefully. They can sit at home and sulk. They can waste a vote on Nigel Farage.

Or they can take a leaf out of Keir Starmer’s songbook, hold their noses and vote Tory safe in the knowledge that their bedraggled party cannot win. At least until next time.

But if enough voters wake up from this looming nightmare in time, there may be enough survivors to rally, reunite and stand to fight again.

Vacant performance

JOE BIDEN’S public disintegration on global TV was not simply the avoidable humiliation of an old man in the foothills of dementia.

It was a humbling for his wife, Jill, who should have persuaded him to step down after his vacant performance at the recent G7 summit in Italy.

It was shaming for the United States of America, which seems incapable of fielding two decent candidates for its presidency.

And it was terrifying for Western democracy, currently leaderless and under close scrutiny by those who wish it harm.
