“Sweet Revenge Best Served Cold by Gary Wright”

Author Gary Wright invites you into a world of suspense and intrigue with his thrilling novel, “Sweet Revenge Best Served Cold.”

East Belfast – July 17th, 2024 – Author Gary Wright introduces his latest work, “Sweet Revenge Best Served Cold,” a gripping fiction thriller and mystery that will keep readers on the edge of their seats. This compelling story of loss, revenge, and redemption weaves solid characters and an intricate plot, offering a deep dive into human emotions and their moral challenges.

How far will a man go to bring justice to his family, especially when he has nothing to lose? Find out in “Sweet Revenge Best Served Cold” — a story that will keep you hooked from start to finish. Here’s an excerpt from the book:

Harry woke up with a start. He put his arm out for Emma, and for a few brief seconds, he thought she must be downstairs. Then reality hit him. He had gone to bed sometime in the early hours of the morning. As with all Irish wakes, there was a constant stream of people calling to give their condolences, mostly family and close friends. Mr. Reaney had called, although Harry did not say much to him. At this point, he did not want to know about “God’s will” or how he could gain strength from praying. If there were a God, Harry thought, then this would not have happened.

About the Book:

“Sweet Revenge Best Served Cold” delves into the life of Harry Wallace, whose idyllic existence with his wife Emma and their two children is shattered by an IRA car bomb. Struggling with overwhelming grief and a burning desire for vengeance, Harry’s world spirals into darkness. His sole focus becomes hunting down the bombers: Stinton and the elusive McAfee, a master of disguise and one of the IRA’s top assassins.

As Harry navigates the brutal world of paramilitaries, he confronts harsh realities, tangled political intrigues, and personal tragedies. The story masterfully intertwines themes of betrayal, redemption, and the complexities of human relationships, ensuring readers are captivated with every turn of the page.

Author’s Bio:

Gary Wright was born and raised in East Belfast and experienced the tumultuous period of the Troubles in Northern Ireland firsthand. Determined to stay out of politics and violence, Gary focused on building a successful career in financial services, gaining valuable experiences across various cultures, including Ireland, the UK, the Middle East, the USA, and Australia.

Despite his professional achievements, Gary’s vivid imagination and the stories rooted in his experiences during the Troubles never left him. Eventually, he decided to pen down those stories, resulting in “Sweet Revenge Best Served Cold.” An avid sports fan and devoted family man, Gary lives a fulfilling life with his wife Grace, their two children, their spouses, four beautiful grandchildren, and long-standing friendships.

Book Blurb:

Harry Wallace’s idyllic life with his wife Emma and their two young children, Joanne and Stephen, is shattered when an IRA car bomb tragically kills his family. Overwhelmed with grief, remorse, and a burning desire for vengeance, Harry’s world spirals into despair and alcohol-fueled darkness. His sole focus becomes exacting revenge on the bombers: Stinton and the elusive McAfee, a master of disguise and one of the IRA’s top bombers and assassins.

As Harry plunges into the brutal world of paramilitaries, he confronts the harsh realities of their communities and a tangled web of political intrigue, personal tragedy, and moral dilemmas. At the forefront are Harry, Liam O’Neill — leader of Sinn Fein — and McAfee, each entangled in a high-stakes battle.

This gripping narrative weaves themes of betrayal, redemption, and the complexities of human relationships, keeping readers on the edge of their seats and craving more with every turn of the page.
