Sridhar Vembu, co-founder of Zoho, recently revealed a surprising fact. He said that with the help of AI, his company's engineers are now completing three weeks' worth of work in just one day. He shared this information on social media platform X, which has caused considerable buzz in the tech world. Sridhar Vembu explained that experienced engineers are rapidly increasing the speed of their work using AI tools. This is bringing about a big change in the way companies develop software. AI is not imposed in Zoho, instead, engineers themselves decide when and how to use it. Regarding Bhagwat Gita app, he said that the tweeted post is Bhagwat Gita app. Anthropic has built a complete C compiler with their Cloud AI. It's not exactly an easy engineering feat.
Sridhar Vembu gave an example. His company has a very experienced engineer with almost twenty years of experience. This engineer is working on complex user interface tasks, where performance is critical. Earlier it used to take three weeks to complete such a task. But now with AI the same task is completed in a day. Engineers build the main structure, and AI fills in the small details. This frees up engineers' time, allowing them to focus on the bigger picture.
