MISSING mum Gaynor Lord’s final words to a friend before she vanished have been revealed.

The 55-year-old disappeared on Friday afternoon after she was seen leaving work early – then rushing through the streets of Norwich.

It’s been a week since the 55-year-old was last seen, with her loved ones and police frantically searching for her ever since.

Cops this week released CCTV footage of the mum smiling before she walked out the door of work – then rushing along the streets of Norwich.

And now a pal has revealed that Gaynor had called her before she suddenly dashed out of Jarrold’s department store.

Julia Butcher got two calls from the missing mum on Friday afternoon – with the first at 2.15pm.

Hairdresser Julie told The Sun: “She seemed fine and happy.

“She gave me a hug when I left and said to call her in the spring to arrange a game of tennis, as it’s too cold to play at the moment.”

Married mum-of-two Julie was the last person to speak to Gaynor last Friday, hours before she disappeared with her coat found in the nearby River Wensum.

Julie said: “I got a call from her at around 2.15pm and she said, ‘it’s Gaynor, where are you?’

“I said I’m at home, then I had a client call and I said I’m really sorry I’ve got to take it but that I’d call her back in two minutes.

“It all happened in about ten seconds. I rang her back, left her a voicemail and WhatsApp saying I’m in all afternoon, and didn’t think anything else of it.

“Then at 4.15pm she rang me again. I said, ‘hi Gaynor’ but she didn’t say anything – it sounded like a pocket call. It went on for 12 seconds.

“It sounded like someone walking with the phone in their pocket.

“I then got a call from the police at 1.45am saying I was the last person Gaynor called.

“I wish I hadn’t taken the phone call from the client. We just need to find her.”

It comes as cops are now probing what sort of “state of mind” Gaynor may have been in.

Chief Superintendent Dave Buckley said: “There’s nothing that we’ve been able to establish that really gives us a clear position on her state of mind that I would feel any degree of confidence in saying what we think it is at the moment.

“I don’t think any of the conversations that we’ve had are completely informing us to why her state of mind has ended up to being what it was.”

TIMELINE OF GAYNOR'S MOVEMENTS

2.44pm – Gaynor is working at the Bullards Gin counter in the basement at Jarrold department store – her clothing is clearly visible

2.45-2.46pm – She leaves the store via the loading bay on Bedford Street

2.47pm – Walks onto London Street past the Cosy Club

2.48pm – Gaynor makes her way onto Queens Street and walks toward the Cathedral

3.22pm – Gaynor is seen on The Close at the cathedral entrance – shortly before exiting through the archway she puts her coat on

3.23pm – She is seen to walk away from the cathedral on Queens Street – here you can see a clear image of the coat she was wearing

3.49pm – This is the last sighting of Gaynor on CCTV near the Playhouse on St George’s Street

3.53pm – Walks along St Crispins Road towards Pitt Street

4.01pm – Gaynor walks up St Augustines Street – her final movements captured in CCTV before going missing

Norwich Constabulary declared her missing after they found her ID inside a handbag when she failed to return home from work that evening.

Her white work shirt, yellow tank top, and jewellery were found spread out at different sites across Wensum Park, while her olive-coloured coat was found in a nearby river.

Yesterday cops shared the last CCTV image of the mum on St Augustines Street at 4.01pm – meaning the second call was after final sighting.

They published an image of Gaynor smiling ear-to-ear as she left her workplace – Bullards Gin, at Jarrold’s department store.

Then, in a CCTV clip, the mum can be seen running along the pavement with her coat in hand.

She seems to be in a hurry, rushing to cross the road.

The mum seems to spend 30 minutes at the cathedral before she is spotted on CCTV again.

She then makes her way along the street, putting her coat on as she walks.

She is last snapped on CCTV at 4.01pm.

It is now thought the mum may have met someone at the cathedral before she vanished.

Police are also said to be “linking in” with the force who worked on the disappearance of Nicola Bulley.
