Jammu: Terrorists have once again targeted Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu and Kashmir. Terrorists have shot dead a revenue official in Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Officers are said to be Kashmiri Pandits who died during treatment. Terrorists have targeted an officer named Rahul Bhatt in the tehsil office. Rahul died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Rahul is said to be a Kashmiri Pandit who had been working in the revenue department for a long time. On Thursday, terrorists broke into the tehsil office and shot dead. The terrorists were later found to have fled the scene. Following the incident, the army has launched a search operation in the area. As well as all efforts are being made to catch the terrorists soon. The attack is significant because people from the officers to the sarpanch have been targeted inside the valley for the past several days. Kashmiri Pandits are also falling prey to terrorists.
Attacks are carried out disrupting terrorist networks
However, defense experts believe that the military is cracking down on militants in the Siam Valley. Their network is breaking down, commanders are being killed, that’s why such attacks are being carried out in desperation. But military action is not slowing. A few days ago, security forces had a 10-hour encounter with militants in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Two Lashkar-e-Taiba militants were killed in the clashes. One of them was also a resident of Pakistan.
Decrease in terrorist activities
The encounter took place in Cheyan area, 1.5 km from Buna Devsar in Kulgam. There, security forces received information late Saturday night that some militants were being moved. In such a case a search operation was carried out by processing the input. The militants attacked security forces there, followed by hours of gunfire from both sides. In the end, two terrorists were killed. However, there has been a decline in terrorist activity in the last few years. The number of active terrorists has also dropped to just 150. But according to the CRPF, the trend of concern is that more than 60 per cent of the militants are of Kashmiri origin, meaning they are locals. At the same time, 85 terrorists of foreign origin are being talked about.
