Jammu: The country is facing a stoning incident over the Eid festival. After Jodhpur, now there is an incident of stoning in Anantnag of Jammu and Kashmir. The district was stoned outside the mosque after morning prayers. It is said that some protesters chanted slogans against Azad Kashmir.

Today, Eid is being celebrated all over the country. But there seems to be an attempt to spoil the atmosphere of the country during this festival. Violence between the two communities has been raging in various parts of the country for several days now. Jammu and Kashmir has come under fire after the violence in Jodhpur yesterday. After offering Eid prayers at the Anantnag mosque on Tuesday, some protesters took to the streets and chanted slogans for Azad Kashmir.
Security has also been beefed up to control the situation
The security forces were targeted and stoned by anti-social elements interfering in the matter. However the situation is now under control. But due to the seriousness of the incident, security has been beefed up in the area.
There was also a terrorist attack in Pulwama on Monday
It may be mentioned that two CRPF jawans were injured in a terrorist attack in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir late on Monday evening. An IED exploded while police and CRPF personnel were conducting an operation at Larmu in Avantipora area of the district, officials said. However, Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police busted a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant module. Police arrested three terrorists. They were plotting to attack outside workers with grenades.
