London: Britain’s former finance minister Rishi Sunak has promised that if he becomes the country’s next prime minister, he will give more money to help people get rid of rising household electricity bills. 42-year-old Sunak is also among the Conservative Party leaders in the race for the post of Prime Minister. He stressed on saving by limiting loans to help people financially. It is noteworthy that almost such election promises were also given by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi. His system was helpful. Seeing this success, Kejriwal also promised free electricity in the Punjab elections and won the elections. Convale Insight, an organization working in the electricity sector in Britain, has predicted that rising light bills could be higher than expected this winter. “There is no doubt in my mind that more support will be needed,” Sunak said. The electricity bill has been a key issue in the campaigns of Sunak and Foreign Secretary Liz Truss in the race for the post of Prime Minister. It is worth mentioning that after the resignation of PM Boris Johnson in Britain, an election campaign of the ruling Conservative Party is going on for the election of his successor. The new Prime Minister will be chosen by a final vote of party members in September. The election process is going on in several phases. So far three phases have been led by Sunak’s anti-Secretary of State, Liz Truss. In the two referendums held so far, Truss has built a lead over Sunak.
