Competitive tennis will bid adieu after the Laver Cup in London next week. 41-year-old Roger Federer is counted among the legendary tennis players of the world. He has won 20 Grand Slam titles. Roger Federer has not played a single match since the Wimbledon tournament last year. Federer announced on Twitter, saying, “You guys know, I’ve been dealing with injuries and surgeries for the last three years. I have worked hard for a comeback, but I know my body’s capabilities and limitations. He has now given a clear message. I am 41 years old. I have played more than 1,500 matches in the last 24 years. Tennis has given me so much more than I ever dreamed of. Now I have to accept that my competitive career is over. Next week’s Laver Cup in London will be my final ATP event.
