Surat: The seat of Surat East is such that, despite the dominance of BJP here for years, all eyes are on this seat during every assembly election. As this is a seat in which Muslim voters are more in the total electorate. This time, a three-pronged war between BJP-Congress and AAP is being played across the state. But with Aam Aadmi Party candidate Kanjan Jariwala withdrawing his nomination on this seat, now there is a direct fight between only BJP and Congress. Candidates of other parties are also in the fray here but they do not seem to have any special presence. Arvind Rana of BJP won here by 13347 votes in the last election. Arvind Rana has repeated this time too. While BJP has given ticket to Muslim leader Aslam Cyclewala. Since there are 92 thousand Muslim votes in the total electorate here, there will be a battle of few. However, the victory or defeat depends on how many votes the other 12 Muslim candidates, including 8 independent and other party candidates, get.
