New Delhi: ISRO has created an image of a self-reliant India in the world. ISRO has been shining the name of India in the world for some time now with its unique achievements. Now ISRO has once again launched 9 satellites simultaneously. Which includes a special satellite of Bhutan. Let us tell you that India and Bhutan have launched a joint satellite into space. This will boost the development of India and Bhutan.
ISRO launched OceanSat-3 (OceanSat) satellite today i.e. 26 November 2022 at 11.56 am from the launch pad of Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. Launched by PSLV-XL rocket. Along with this, eight nano satellites including a special remote sensing satellite for Bhutan were also launched.
Bhutansat (Bhutansat aka INS-2B). Bhutansat is a joint India-Bhutan satellite, a technology demonstrator. It is a nano satellite. India has transferred technology to Bhutan for this. Bhutansat has remote sensing cameras. That is, this satellite will provide information about the land. It will help in development works like building railway tracks, building bridges. It also has a multispectral camera. That is, along with normal photographs, photographs based on different light waves will also be seen.
Data reception will take place at a center in Bhutan built in collaboration with India. But before that ISRO will get it and give it to Bhutan. India is also developing a ground station in Bhutan. OceanSat-3 will also monitor ocean surface temperature, chlorophyll, phytoplankton, aerosols and pollution. This is a 1000 kg satellite. It has been named ISRO Earth Observation Satellite-6 (EOS-6).
Along with this will go four Astrocaste, Thibault-1, Thibault-2 and Anand (Ananda) satellites. Anand is a satellite of the private company Pixel. Astrocast is a remote area connecting satellite. It is a small, affordable and sustainable technology for satellite IoT service. The Thiebault satellite is built by Indian private space company Dhruv Space. They will be launched into Low Earth Orbit (LEO).
Oceansat-1 was first launched in the year 1999. After this, its second satellite was launched into space in 2009. Meanwhile, instead of launching Oceansat-3, SCATSAT-1 was sent. Because Oceansat-2 became useless. Oceansat is said to be capable of monitoring maritime borders as well.
These eight satellites were launched from launch pad one by PSLV-XL rocket. The weight of this rocket is 320 tons. Its length is 44.4 meters and diameter is 2.8 meters. This rocket has four stages. This rocket can launch multiple satellites into different orbits.
