New Delhi: Ever since the US army left Afghanistan, the terror of the Taliban has increased here. There have been several violent incidents of bomb blasts and firing here in the last few months. One such incident happened once again on Wednesday. A bomb exploded in the mosque of the government office located in a secure area near the Kabul International Airport. Preliminary details of 16 deaths and 24 injuries have been revealed in this blast.

The blast occurred at a government ministry mosque in Kabul as officials and visitors were praying. Abdul Nafi Thakor said, ‘The mosque is used by visitors and occasionally by home ministry personnel.’ The ministry complex is close to Kabul International Airport, which is a very secure area.
It is worth mentioning that, a similar suicide blast took place in Pakistan as well. A suicide bomber blew himself up on Wednesday near a patrolling police truck carrying security personnel to protect polio workers in Pakistan’s restive Balochistan province. About three people were killed and 23 people were injured in this suicide attack. In which 20 policemen are also involved.
Anti-polio activists are being targeted in Pakistan
The attacker targeted a paramilitary constabulary truck in Baleli area of Quetta. The truck was going to provide protection to polio workers in the ongoing campaign. Quetta Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Ghulam Azfar Mehsar confirmed the attack and said at least 23 people were injured in the attack, including 20 policemen, a woman and a child.
