New Delhi: A case of murder of a Chinese food blogger has come to light in Nepal. A blogger from China was live-streaming in a market in Nepal, shocking his followers when he was murdered.
According to reports, a Chinese food blogger was publicly attacked while live streaming on the streets of Nepal. Another friend of the food blogger was injured in the incident. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the man who killed the Chinese blogger was jealous of her and had earlier had a disagreement over her videos. Apart from this, there was also a fight between the two regarding money transactions.
Chinese food blogger Gan Sujeong is popularly known on social media as ‘Fatty Goes to Africa’. He has 50 lakh followers. Sujeong was attacked on December 4 in Indra Chowk, Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. Police have arrested 37-year-old Feng Zhengyung, an accused Chinese national, in the case.
Sujeong’s companion, 32-year-old Li Chuzan, was also injured in the incident. Police said that earlier there was a fight between the two parties. According to initial reports, the accused Fang lives in Nepal, popularly known as Ayun on social media. A couple of earlier videos of Fang’s Soojeong and money transactions had caused chaos. Feng was also jealous of Sujeong.
The 20-year-old has been telling Soojeong’s fans about cuisines from around the world, the sequence he was shooting in Kathmandu. When the incident happened on December 4, Soojeong was walking through a market in Kathmandu, constantly talking to shopkeepers. Suddenly there was a loud shout and his phone suddenly fell to the ground. In another video, Soojeong’s face is seen covered in blood.
According to a report cited by Nepali media, Sujeong was attacked on his chest and stomach with a sharp object, after which he was admitted to the National Trauma Center. Doctors tried hard to save his life, but he died the next day. In the incident, Soojeong’s friend Lee Chuzan was also targeted with a sharp weapon, he was also badly injured in the attack but doctors saved his life.
