Russia: Russia has welcomed India’s decision not to support the G7 and its allies to impose a price cap on Russian oil. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, during a meeting with Indian Ambassador to Russia Pawan Kapoor, said that Russia is fully responsible for its obligations to supply energy resources and export energy to the countries of the East-South amid the energy crisis. The statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that in the first eight months of 2022, Russia’s oil import to India has increased to 16.35 million tonnes. It is worth mentioning that despite the Ukraine war, India continued to import oil from Russia. During a meeting with Indian Ambassador Pawan Kapoor, Novak invited Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri to participate in the international forum ‘Russian Energy Week 2023’. It will be held in Moscow from October 11-13 next year.
