Surat: While going to place a diamond packet worth 7 lakhs in the safe deposit vault in Surat’s mini diamond market, the packet fell. After meeting the brothers who run a saree shop in the textile market of Surat, they informed the officials of Surat Diamond Association (SDA) and deposited a diamond deposit of 7 lakhs. The incident was reported to Diamond Assoc., which was reported to have been returned to the original owner. Both the saree traders were honored by the Surat Diamond Association for setting a fine example of honesty and integrity in this matter.

Kalpeshbhai Labhubhai Jetani lives in Kapodra Sagar Society, Surat and works in diamond manufacturing. On December 17 last, he went to Mini Bazaar Princes Plaza with a packet of diamonds worth 7 lakhs. Meanwhile, his diamond packet worth 7 lakhs fell. The diamond packet is in the safe. He believed that on December 26, when he went to the safe deposit vault, he realized that the diamond packet was in the vault itself, which was an illusion.
In fact the packet was dropped on its way to the vault. On December 17, Dharmeshbhai Sakhia, who lives in Tirupati Society in Puna village and owns a saree shop in the textile market, went to the Princess Plaza Safe along with his son-in-law Jagdish Sukhdia. They found this diamond packet. The two brothers also checked in Princes Plaza to return the packet of diamonds to the original owner and then deposited the parcel in Diamond Assoc.
A diamond dealer who was looking for a packet of diamonds came to know about the advertisement and contacted Diamond Assoc. After verifying all the evidence, the packet was handed over to the original owner in the presence of President Nanubhai Vekaria, Past President Babubhai Chodwadi, Vice President Jagdishbhai Khunt, Minister Damjibhai Mavani, Joint Minister Bhupatbhai Kanala, Treasurer Mohanbhai Vekaria, Vinubhai Kotda, Bharatbhai Avaiya at the office of Surat Diamond Association.
