China: The most deadly wave of Corona has occurred in China so far. With lakhs of new patients coming daily, people are not getting beds in the hospitals, on the other hand there is a severe shortage of medicines. Seeing the pitiable condition of its neighbor, India has once again introduced humanity. India has decided to send medicines to China. The Chairman of India’s Drug Export Unit said that India, one of the world’s largest drug manufacturers, has decided to help China, which is fighting against Corona. India is ready to supply fever medicines to China. Ibuprofen and paracetamol are currently in high demand in China, he said. There people are facing shortage of these medicines. Indian Ministry of External Affairs said that India is ready to help China. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that we are monitoring the situation of Kovid in China. When asked about sending medicine to China, he said that we have always helped other countries as the world’s pharmacy.
The new wave of corona virus has created a frenzy in China. All major cities are under the grip of Corona and people are thirsty for beds in hospitals. Long queues are also seen outside hospitals and clinics. As usual, the Chinese government is being accused of hiding the figures. A top authority of the government has presented such statistics which are frightening for the entire world. The authority said that it is possible that 37 million corona infected cases have come up in a single day this week. This number is highest in a single day in the world.
According to the report of Bloomberg, about 28 percent of the total population of China i.e. 248 million people have been infected with the corona virus till the 20th of this month. These figures were announced at a meeting of the National Health Commission of China. This information was given by the people involved in the meeting. If this figure is correct, then the figures of 40 lakhs per day which appeared in January, 2022 have been left behind. China’s zero covid policy is also under question. It is believed that due to this, corona infection did not spread and natural immunity could not be created in people. According to the agency’s estimate, more than half of the residents of China’s southwestern Sichuan province and the capital Beijing have been infected.
However, it is not clear from where the Chinese agency got these figures. Because the network of PCR testing booths was closed in China earlier this month. Achieving accurate transmission rates in other countries has become difficult during pandemics. People in China are now using rapid antigen tests to detect infection. Meanwhile the government has stopped publishing daily numbers of asymptomatic cases. Chen Qin, chief economist at data consultancy MetroDataTech, fears that the wave may peak between mid-December and mid-January, based on online keywords. The model shows that the cities of Shenzhen, Shanghai and Chongqing are experiencing the highest number of cases.
