London: Britain’s first purpose-built Hindu crematorium will finally be built after decades of struggle. Anupam Mission, a Hindu charity organization, demanded that all funeral rituals take place on the banks of the Swaminarayan temple. This campaign was going on for almost five decades. Hence, it will be the first Hindu crematorium not only in Britain but in the whole of Europe, which will be built in south-east Buckinghamshire. According to Anupam Mission, the cremation ghat is being constructed keeping in mind Hindu traditions. There will also be a dining hall, two waiting rooms, two private ritual rooms, a large hall and a separate canteen. Many Hindus said in the conversation that there were many difficulties to be faced in performing the last rites due to Hindu customs
