China: China has announced plans to build a new ground station on Antarctica. The Chinese government has awarded the contract for this work to China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation. The station will provide services to China’s National Satellite Ocean Application Service. The first news about this came in China on the second date of this month. But according to observers, the Chinese balloon debate was so loud in America at that time that the media of most countries of the world, including America, did not pay attention to it. According to experts, China has launched eight maritime surveillance satellites since 2002. These satellites serve many purposes. These include oceanographic analysis, resource exploitation, environmental studies and disaster monitoring. China is going to put its ninth satellite in space this year. A ground center to be built in Antarctica will help exchange data from all these satellites.
