New Delhi: Social media app Twitter has given back the blue tick to many famous celebrities with crores of followers. A few days ago, the company removed the blue tick of account holders who did not pay the fee. This decision is also significant because just this week, blue ticks were removed from the Twitter accounts of celebrities and politicians like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Twitter owner Elon Musk’s microblogging site started removing blue ticks from non-paying accounts this week.
Now the blue tick has made a surprising comeback on the Twitter accounts of several famous celebrities. The blue tick was removed from the accounts of high-profile cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, but now the blue tick is back on their Twitter accounts. However, it is not yet clear whether these people have paid the fee. According to Travis Brown, a Berlin-based software developer who monitors the social media platform, these people have made no effort to get Blue Tick back.
