Mumbai: The Indian stock market has reached a historic high today. The National Stock Exchange hit a new high, surpassing its old record of all-time high.
Nifty opened above 18900 in the pre-open on Wednesday. Earlier, the Nifty hit an all-time high of 18,887.60 points. Nifty has created this history after 142 sessions. Let us tell you that Nifty had previously hit an all-time high of 18,887 points in October 2021.
The Sensex also opened at a new all-time high of 63701.78. Earlier on June 22, 2023 the Sensex opened at a new all-time high of 63601.71. The Nifty then started its day’s trade from an all-time high of 18908.15. Earlier, Tuesday was a great day for the US stock market.
The Dow Jones, Nasdaq and S&P closed higher. Due to which the Indian market has got the strength to create new records today on Wednesday. Notably, for the last few sessions, the Nifty was constantly trying to make an all-time high. But finally today Nifty broke all the previous records and reached a new high. Meanwhile, smallcap and midcap indices are witnessing a sharp rise.
Currently the Indian stock market is trading at new highs. Sensex was close to 63600 points at 9.40 am. While Nifty stays around 18900. Meanwhile, shares of Adani Enterprise and Adani Port are seeing a rise in the Nifty-50. Apart from this, shares of Titan, JSW Steel and Bajaj Finance are also strong up to one and a half percent.
However, shares of private banks are marginally under pressure. Experts believe that the trend of Nifty is going to be strong in the near future. Nifty has gained strength with the positive cues coming from the global markets, with which it has hit historic highs
