New Delhi: South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai has finally launched the cheapest SUV Hyundai Exter for sale today. It is currently under the Venue car in the company’s portfolio. This SUV has been introduced in a total of five variants. With attractive looks and a powerful engine, the starting price of this SUV has been fixed at Rs 5.99 lakh. The company has already started the bookings of this SUV and its deliveries will also start soon. The company claims that it has more than 40 safety features, including 6 airbags.
Over 40 safety features
The Hyundai Exter is equipped with over 26 safety features, available across all variants. It gets segment first features like ESC (Electronic Stability Control), VSM (Vehicle Stability Management) and HAC (Hill Assist Control). Additionally, the Hyundai Exter gets 3-point seat belts and seatbelt reminders for all seats, keyless entry, anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), rear parking sensors, ESS and many more features. Hyundai EXTER is equipped with more than 40 advanced safety features. These include headlamp escort function, auto headlamps, ISOFIX, rear defogger and rear parking camera. In addition, the Hyundai EXTER also gets segment first features like dual cameras with dashcam, TPMS (highline) and burglar alarm.
How is the look and design?
The Hyundai Exter SUV has been given a boxy look and design, which looks quite trendy. The front end features a parametric front grille which gives this SUV a modern appeal. The front end features H-shape signature LED daytime-running lights with DRLs, projector headlamps and sporty skid plates. These skid plates are also visible above the car wheels. Coming to the side profile, it is adorned with diamond cut alloy wheels with blacked out wheel arches and side sill cladding. The Hyundai EXTER also features a floating roof design that has been further enhanced with parametrically designed C-pillar garnish and sporty bridge-type roof rails. The company claims that this SUV will attract many people for its sale.

The sunroof being offered in this SUV is voice-enabled and the sunroof opens instantly on giving commands like ‘Open Sunroof’ or ‘I want to see the sky’. The company is introducing this SUV in a new color, which the company has named as ‘Ranger Khaki’. This paint scheme is being offered with the exterior for the first time in India. The Hyundai Exter will be offered in a total of five variants. Which includes EX, S, SX, SX(O) and SX(O) Connect as top models. Its top variant will also get some connected car features. After its launch, this SUV will mainly compete with models like Tata Punch, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite.
