New Delhi: The dispute with Air India (Air India) of the Tata Group (TATA Group) does not seem to stop. These days incidents of rude behavior with passengers in flight are increasing. According to the information provided by Air India, on July 8, a citizen of Nepal created a ruckus in the flight coming from Toronto to Delhi. The man not only assaulted the Air India crew member, but also assaulted his co-passengers. Apart from this, this passenger also broke the door of the toilet. The passenger was handed over to security agencies as soon as he landed at the Delhi airport.
An Air India spokesperson said that on July 8, 2023, a passenger of Toronto-Delhi operated flight AI188 assaulted crew members and co-passengers during the flight. This Nepali citizen defecated in the toilet and also smoked and damaged the toilet. When the crew members objected to this act, he attacked them as well. The co-passengers who came to the rescue also fell prey to his wrath and sustained minor injuries in the attack.”
According to the information, the passenger was warned several times by the crew. But the passenger’s anger was steadily increasing. With great difficulty the crew members overpowered him and finally sent him back to his seat. However, no statement has yet come out from the police or the passenger. The spokesperson further said that the passenger has been handed over to security agencies for further action as per regulatory requirement and the matter has been reported to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
Incidents of indecent behavior with passengers in flights are increasing these days. On June 24, an Air India flight from Mumbai to Delhi had an incident where a male passenger was treated “abhorrently”. This case pertains to Air India’s Mumbai-Delhi flight. A passenger traveling on this flight allegedly defecated and urinated on the plane. After which the passenger was arrested from Delhi airport. The accused passenger works as a cook in Africa.
