Toronto: About 250 Khalistani protesters waved flags and shouted slogans outside the Indian Consulate in Canada. In response to which the people of the Indian community were also present there with tricolors. They raised slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram. Meanwhile slogans of ‘Khalistani Sikh Nahi Hote’ were written on placards in his hand. Khalistanis rallied against the demonstrations and sloganeering of Indians. During the protest, the supporters of both the parties were seen face to face. After the killing of Khalistan terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, supporters of Khalistan announced a ‘Kill India’ rally in America, Britain and Canada on July 8.
Meanwhile, the Khalistanis committed a shameful act outside the temple of Bharat Mata in Brampton, Canada. Khalistan supporters put up posters here and threatened Indian diplomats with pictures. The Indian community in Canada has opposed it. According to media reports, the Khalistanis’ demonstration was led by militants Gurupatwant Singh Pannu and Paramjit Singh Pamma. He is accused of taking funding from Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. Khalistani supporters held a poster of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was killed on June 18 in Colombia.
On the other hand, crowds could not gather outside Indian embassies in Britain and Australia. Around 30-40 Khalistani supporters were seen carrying flags outside the Indian High Commission in London. Terrorist Paramjit Singh Pamma led it. Meanwhile, the police force was also present there. However, no action was taken against terrorist Pamma. Due to lack of crowd, the performance ended before the scheduled time.
The supporters of Khalistan, who have been demanding a separate country in India by chanting slogans of Khalistan, are now finding little support abroad. The reason behind it is the pressure being created by the Indian government and threats from Khalistan supporters to harm Indian embassies and diplomats.
Now countries like Canada, America, UK and Australia have also started retreating. Foreign Ministries of all countries have clearly stated that they will not allow terrorist activities on their soil.
