TORIES last night hit out at the election of eco-zombie Alistair Strathern.
The Labour candidate, 33, won the Mid Bedfordshire seat on Thursday.

Last year he posed as a zombie for an eco stunt outside the Home Office.
Images show him as a ghoul with face paint including blood dripping from his mouth.
The protest was against new laws that curb extreme protests by environmental activist groups.
The Sun revealed the shocking image just days after Rishi Sunak’s constituency home in North Yorkshire saw activists climb up the property.
One Tory MP said: “He may have got in this time but with a majority just over 1,000 we will target him next time.
“He got lucky on a low turnout but will struggle at the general election.
“A large proportion of voters don’t like the tactics of climate groups such as Greenpeace.”
The Oxford University graduate, 33, worked for the Bank of England advising them on climate matters.
Strathern won the seat from Nadine Dorries with a swing from Tory to Labour of 20.5 per cent overturning a majority of 24,664.
Sir Keir Starmer faced calls to ditch Strathern as a candidate after the stunt was made public but decided to stick with him.
