A WOMAN has revealed that she is never shopping at Asda again, after feeling horrified at her expensive food shop.
The bargain hunter claimed that she nabbed just three bags of shopping and was hit with an eye-watering bill of £91.

Horrified at the total cost, the shopper took to social media to alert others, as she claimed she is ‘boycotting’ the chain.
In a video captioned ‘Asda is such a rip off, never shopping there again’, alongside the hashtags #ripoff, #boycotted and #neveragain, we saw the woman push her trolley out of the supermarket.
She then explained: “And so it’s official. I am never, ever doing a weekly shop at Asda again.
“Three bags worth of food and somehow I’ve managed to spend £91.”
Totally stunned, the horrified shopper asked: “How is that even possible?”
Fuming at the cost of her shopping, she claimed: “No, not doing it again in a hurry.”
While the shopper didn’t share her receipt or list her purchases, in her shopping bags, we can see that she nabbed a whole chicken from Asda’s Just Essentials range, Muller Corner yoghurts, broccoli, kale, and a pizza, amongst other items.
However, eagle-eyed shoppers also noticed that the woman had bought a bottle of Chambord, which may have been the reason why her shopping was so expensive.
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @callmeharley_quinn420, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has amassed a whopping 701,000 views.
Social media users were left stunned at the clip and many took to the comments to share their thoughts.
Many agreed with the shopper, as one user claimed: “The only thing i get from Asda are briefs for my son’s draw, everything else is too expensive.”
At the same time, another chimed in: “I said that last time we went, I think the cheapest place has now turned into the most expensive.”
Meanwhile, many shoppers shared which supermarkets they prefer to shop in.
One person said: “Cheaper going to Aldi.”
A second commented: “Sainsbury’s all the way.”
Someone else claimed: “Morrisons is better than Asda.”
Whilst another shopper wrote: “Go to Lidl, just did a weekly shop, cost £62.”
However, many shoppers were baffled at the woman’s claims and were eager to express this.
One user slammed: “If you are classing the bottle of Chambord as part of the “weekly shop” then maybe it isn’t Asda’s problem…..”
Another stated: “£20-25 for that bottle of booze might be the issue.”
Someone else asked: “My shop halved when I started shopping at Asda from Aldi, what are you buying?”
Whilst one savvy shopper claimed: “That’s all supermarkets now.”
But despite this shoppers claims, according to Which?, when comparing which supermarket was the cheapest in 2023, the experts found that in an analysis of bigger trolleys of goods, including branded and own-brand items, Asda has been the cheapest every month by one.
In October 2023, Which? also found that when it came to the ‘big four’ supermarkets, Asda was the cheapest.
