WE’RE sure that by now you’ve already eaten your bodyweight in chocolate – but there’s always room for some more, especially if it’s free.
Yes, that’s right, according to eagle-eyed shoppers, a major supermarket is handing out FREE Easter chocolate treats – but there’s a catch to it.
What’s better than Easter chocolate? One that you can get for FREE – here’s how[/caption]
Tesco shoppers can enjoy the popular Easter treat on one special condition[/caption]
Rather than just barging in the store and expecting to be given free sweets, Tesco shoppers will have to work for it – kind of like a mini Easter egg hunt.
To brighten up their customers’ day, the popular retailer has hidden a number of adorable egg-shaped notes across the chocolate egg selection for lucky shoppers to find.
Once you’ve found the pastel yellow note – signed by the Easter Bunny, of course – you head to the checkout to receive your freebies.
These are a free cone of chocolate treats, consisting of a few mini eggs wrapped in bright packaging, as well as a larger chocolate bar.
One delighted customer, Bailey Madison Gem, was so pleasantly surprised by the kind gesture from the supermarket, she took to Facebook to inform others about the news in time for Easter.
Writing in the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, the shopper said: ”Found this super cute note between the two packs of mini eggs I picked up from the shelf in tesco earlier.
”Took it to checkout and got a free sweet cone for the kids.
”So lovely of them. Keep an eye out,” Bailey told fellow members of the group in her post.
The post, which has since racked up close to a whopping 2k likes in less than 24 hours, also included two images, one of which was a snap of the note customers should look out for.
The round note, complete with a pink ribbon on top, said: ”Hope this random act of kindness brightens your day!
”From the Easter Bunny. Please go to Easter Helper checkouts.”
Dozens of other bargain lovers flocked to comments to thank Bailey, as well as share their thoughts.
One said: ”Hope people don’t start destroying the displays.”
Plenty of people also praised the retailer for the initiative, with one writing: ”Aww how cute, well done Tesco.”
”How lovely is that,” someone else agreed.
The best Easter eggs revealed
WE put a range of Easter eggs to the test:

Best own-brand – a supermarket winner beat M&S
According to one customer, children could even get their hands on more Easter goodies – so, it’s worth keeping your eyes peeled.
”My local Tesco in Milford Haven greeted the children with 2 Easter bags.
”One had chocolate little eggs in and the other had fruit. Each child was asked did they want chocolate egg or fruit.
”The assistant let them dip their hand into a lucky dip bag which had yellow paper straw in.”
However, not everyone’s had the best success with the Easter egg hunt, as some said they didn’t have any luck finding the special note.
One customer wrote: ”Didn’t see these in Kew one today.”
