Climbing from 3rd to 1st in recent months is Fizzy Hayes, a residential development of one, two and three-bedroom apartments managed by Greystar. It’s in south Hayes, right near Hayes & Harlinton Station, and just a short drive from London Heathrow Airport. Also, the development sits between two very popular green spaces – Minet Country Park and Lake Farm Country Park.
One absolutely delighted resident writes: “Living at Fizzy Hayes has been an absolute dream for me! From the moment I moved in, I felt completely at home. The apartments are beautifully designed, with a modern and spacious layout that perfectly suits my lifestyle.”
Storming into 2nd place is Charter Place, an INSTRATA Lifestyle Residence managed by Greystar. It features a collection of studios, one, two, and three-bedroom rental homes. Residents have access to an onsite gym, lounge, a private dining room, and co-working spaces. In addition, Charter Place is only a short walk away from Hounslow East Underground station.
In 3rd, The Glassworks is a relative newcomer to HomeViews but it is already securing plenty of positive reviews. Taking centre stage in Greenford Quay’s landscaped community, its Northern Californian inspired interiors offer simple and informal living spaces to satisfy any mood. West London is a large and informally-defined area offering a wide range of different neighbourhoods and boroughs. Locations on the outer edge of West London and beyond have finally started to benefit from the long-awaited opening of the Elizabeth Line. The new line runs through Ealing and Hillingdon before leaving London. From there, it heads west through South Bucks and Slough to terminate at Reading.

As well as the obvious ‘W’ prefix postcodes, West London also includes many ‘SW’, ‘UB’, ‘HA’ and ‘TW’ prefix postcodes. For example, Fulham covers the SW6 postcode. However, it is generally considered to fall within West London rather than the South West.
What is West London known for?

West London is perhaps best known for its prosperous, leafy suburbs, such as Fulham, Chiswick, Ealing and parts of Notting Hill, Maida Vale and Richmond-upon-Thames. Heathrow Airport, located in the borough of Hillingdon, is one of the region’s largest employers. The University of West London also has a major impact on the area, with 47,000 students in attendance.
The Hammersmith Apollo is one of London’s premier concert venues, while Shepherds Bush is the location for one of the city’s two Westfield shopping centres. Hammersmith & Fulham boasts three top football clubs: Chelsea F.C, Fulham F.C. and Queens Park Rangers, while Brentford’s business park is home to a large number of corporate headquarters for companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, BskyB and Allianz.
Is West London safe?
Much of West London is a very safe place to live. Richmond is the London area with the lowest crime rate of all, according to the most recent police figures from the Metropolitan Police. Meanwhile, Westminster is often cited as the London borough with the highest overall crime rate. However, this is mainly due to the large number of tourists targeted by thieves.
