NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore returned to the Earth from the International Space Station (ISS) after a 9 -month wait. Two astronauts landed on the coast of Florida in the SpaceX capsule on Wednesday morning. His 8 -day mission was converted into 9 months due to defects in Boeing's starliner spacecraft. Both astronauts went for a test mission of the international space station.
The International Place Station (ISS), located above 254 miles (409 km) from Earth, has been serving as an important research laboratory for astronauts for almost 25 years. America and Russia operate mainly. This station is a major center for scientific collaboration.
Food in space
On November 18, the New York Post reported that NASA astronauts were eating pizza, roast chicken and shrimp cocktails at Butch Wilmor and Sunita Williams international space headquarters. NASA posted a photo on September 9 in which Wilmore and Williams were found lunch at ISS, with some food items appearing. Astronauts ate cereals with breakfast milk powder, pizza, roast chicken, shrimp cocktail and tuna. NASA doctors inspected his calories.
Initially fresh fruits and vegetables were available but they were finished in three months, sources said. “Initially fresh fruits were available, but after three months passed, they were finished and their fruits and vegetables were packed or dried in the fridge,” the interior told the IANS in November last year.
All the meat and eggs were already cooked on earth and were just re -heated. Dried foods like soup, stew and casserole were rebuilt by adding water from the ISS's 530-gallon fresh water tank. The station also recycles fresh water to drink urine and sweat of astronauts.
Experts also clarified that if weight loss is not a lack of food, because ISS has about 3.8 pounds per astronaut per astronaut and additional supply for any unexpected mission expansion.
It may be recalled that both Wilmore and Williams were the former Test pilot of the US Navy and later became NASA astronauts. Wilmore, 7, was a high school and college football player in Tennessee while 7 -year -old Sunita was a competitive swimmer and long -distance runner of Massachusetts. Wilmore missed most of his younger daughter's senior year, while Sunita remained in space and remained associated with her husband, mother and family members through internet calls.
