Afghanistan: There is news of a big blast from a mosque in Afghanistan. It is being told that the blast took place during Friday’s Juma prayers in the Gujargah Mosque in Herat. In which 21 people have died so far, including the imam of the mosque. A spokesman for Herat’s governor said it was a suicide attack. However, no organization has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid expressed grief over Ansari’s death on Twitter and said the perpetrators of the blast would not be spared.
According to the information, this blast took place in a mosque after Juma on Friday in Herant province of Afghanistan in which 21 people were killed and 200 people were injured. The death of Maulana Mujeeb ur Rehman Ansari has also been confirmed in this blast. A Taliban spokesperson has officially confirmed the death of Maulvi Mujib ur Rehman Ansari in twin bombings in Herat.
According to information, “The imam who was killed in the attack was said to be a supporter of the Taliban and a large crowd had gathered to hear his statement. As usual, this time too, a large number of people were present in the mosque on the day of Juma, i.e. today, Friday. Mujib Rehman Ansari made several statements in defense of the Taliban to a large gathering of thousands of scholars and elders in late June. Mujeeb Rahman was one of the leading clerics. Imam Muzbir Rahman was known throughout Afghanistan for his criticism of Western-backed governments in Afghanistan over the past two decades.

The mosque’s cleric Maulana Mujeeb ur Rehman Ansari was known for criticizing Western-backed governments for the past two decades. He is considered close to the Taliban. It was for this reason that the Taliban issued a statement mourning his death in the attack. Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid confirmed his death. A Taliban spokesperson said, “It is with sadness that the country’s most powerful and courageous religious leader, Maulana Mujib ur Rehman Ansari, was killed in a barbaric attack in Herat on Friday. Herat Ambulance Center official Mohammad Daoud Mohammadi says that around 18 dead bodies and a large number of injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance. No terrorist group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
Last month i.e. in August, 21 people were killed in a bomb blast in a mosque in the capital, Kabul. 40 people have been injured in this blast. An explosion occurred at a mosque in northern Kabul as people gathered for evening prayers. The explosion was very loud. The windows of the houses around the mosque were also broken due to the blast. As soon as the incident was reported, security personnel and an ambulance reached the spot and the injured were taken to the hospital.
