Tehran: Firing at Iran Masjid was done indiscriminately at a Shia mosque in the city of Shiraz, Iran. 15 people have died in this attack, while more than 40 people have been injured. According to the information received, this mosque belonged to the Shia community. His name was Cherag. Here three gunmen entered and opened fire. A police officer said that three gunmen entered the mosque. They went inside and fired indiscriminately. Two of the three attackers have been arrested. The third assailant has managed to escape. His search is on. 15 people were killed in this attack, including 1 woman and 2 children.
When the three attackers entered the mosque to attack, the mosque was preparing to offer namaaz. The attack happened suddenly. The people present in the mosque panicked after hearing the sound of gunfire. Everyone started running to save their lives. One of the injured said that the attackers came to the mosque from the road. It is not known who attacked. But the attackers entered the mosque instead of firing from the road itself. Anyone seen was shot dead by the assailants.
A report revealed that the three unidentified attackers were not citizens of Iran. Terrorist organization ISIS has claimed responsibility for this attack. ISIS released a statement saying that an IS terrorist opened fire at the mosque. In which 15 people have been killed. And many people have been injured.
The attack on the mosque comes at a time when anti-hijab protests are taking place in Iran. These demonstrations started from September 16. On the same day, 22-year-old Mahsa Amin died in police custody. Mahsa Amin died in custody after she was arrested by the police for not wearing hijab. Due to which the people got angry and agitations and protests started. The shooting at the mosque raises questions about Iran’s security system, even as a tight police presence has been deployed across Iran to curb the protests.
