New Delhi: Twitter is once again going to launch Blue subscription package for its users. After the service resumes on Monday, users will be able to get Blue Tick by paying money. Along with this, apart from content edit, they will also get many other features. However, this service will be expensive for Apple iOS users. The announcement on behalf of the company said that Twitter Blue will be launched on Monday, December 12. The service will cost $8 per month on the web, while signing up for Apple iOS will cost $11 per month.
This time users’ accounts will be better reviewed by Twitter. Only users with verified phone numbers will get the service. For this, Twitter employees themselves will also review the account. “We’ve taken some new steps to combat any type of fraud (which is against Twitter’s rules),” says Twitter Product Manager Esther Crawford. Before giving Blue Tick to any user, his account will be thoroughly reviewed.”
After verification, users will be given a blue tick. Along with this, users will also get the right to edit the content of their tweets. However, users will be able to edit content within 30 minutes. Apart from this you can also upload 1080p videos. A long tweet can also be done with this. Subscribers’ tweets will be prioritized and will see 50 percent fewer ads than similar users.
Blue tick will be removed on changing photo or name
However, interestingly, if users change the photo or name on their profile, their blue tick will be removed and after re-verification, the blue tick will be given again. It is believed that the company has launched this feature to crack down on users who change their profile photo and name in opposition to a particular campaign.
According to the information, the official Twitter account said, “Subscribers will be able to change their handle, display name or profile photo, but if they do so, their blue tick will be temporarily removed and their account will be re-verified.”
The platform is constantly being experimented with
Notably, the company was taken over by Musk last month. Since then he has been continuously experimenting in this regard. The company has kept the Twitter Blue subscription fee at $8. However, many fake accounts also received blue ticks after receiving blue ticks by paying money. Due to this, false tweets from those accounts were also treated as company tweets and caused huge losses to many companies. Seeing this, the company had to stop the blue subscription feature. However, now it is being re-launched in a new way.
