New Delhi: On the one hand, the whole world is worried about the oil problem. This problem has become explosive in rich countries. Especially in Pakistan, on the one hand, Pakistan is on the verge of poverty, where its people are now paying double prices for everything. According to information, this problem has become more severe due to Russia-Ukraine war. There India has benefited from friendship with Russia.
According to information, when on the one hand all the western countries have banned the taking of oil from Russia and placed restrictions on the taking of oil, India used this time to import oil from Russia at a huge discount. America was already pushing that oil should not be taken from Russia. But statistics show that Russia has now become India’s fourth largest import partner. India has imported oil worth 37.31 billion US dollars. This is an increase of 384 percent year-on-year.
India’s exports of petroleum products also saw a boom. India’s exports stood at $78.58 billion during the 10-month fiscal period compared to last year. Last year it was 50.77 billion dollars. However, the Indian government has adopted such a diplomatic policy in the matter of oil imports, due to which it continued to get cheap oil even during the crisis.
Last year, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also said that the government never said that companies should only buy Russian oil, but it said that the best oil should be imported. That is, the government never refused Russian oil, while India directly benefited from Russia’s supply of cheap oil.
