At the Bharat AI Impact Summit, Bangalore-based AI infrastructure company Bharat1.AI announced the creation of the world's first AI city. This AI city will be built in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, which is known as the Silicon Valley of India. The startup said this will be the world's first AI city. The first AI city will be the 500,000 sq ft B1 AI Superpark, an AI research and innovation campus to be built in Sarajpura, Bengaluru.
AI agents will get real-life training
The feature of the city will be that the AI models will be trained using real-life experiences. This AI city will have more than 10,000 AI researchers and AI innovators from AI startups to further improve AI. Priority will be given to the development of AI Superpark, with the first phase of work to be completed by the end of this year.
Bharat1.AI states that the primary focus of the first phase will be to test city-level world models in real-world scenarios. Basic intelligence and stress testing will be conducted inside this AI city. This AI city will be human-centric that will teach AI models to behave like humans. In addition it will provide a multi-level validation system for agentic and physical AI systems to use high-quality, multi-modal data. A similar system like Aadhaar card will be developed for AI authentication.
B1 Superpark
Several leading Indian institutes including IIT Kanpur, SAARC (Security, Privacy and AI Research Centre, IISc), BITS Pilani, iSPIRT Foundation and IIT Ropar will collaborate on the B1 Superpark. Researchers, engineers and start-ups from these institutes will work together to test robotics, autonomous infrastructure, mobility and human-machine interaction.
The primary objective of building this AI city is to develop high-density computing and simulation capabilities. It will provide internet connectivity at a speed of 400 Gbps. It will take 36 months i.e. three years to build this AI city. The city will go beyond Superpark. This AI city will be developed as a testbed where AI models will be taught humanity.
