SAVVY shoppers are going wild as Sainsbury’s slashes the price of food down yet again.
Yesterday, we saw shoppers running as the high-street chain reduced the price of a variety of different cheeses down to just 19p.

However, if you thought that was a bargain, you’ll be shocked when you hear that prices have been cut down again, now to just 1p – yes, you heard that correctly.
Bargain hunters were thrilled with the reductions and many have taken to social media to show off their huge hauls of sale goodies.
So if you’re a cheese lover and ate all of yours over the Christmas period, you’ll need to pay attention (and run down to your local Sainsbury’s as quickly as you can).
Posting on Facebook, on Yellow Sticker Society, a private group with 203,100 members, one shopper named Heather Hemsworth proudly showed off her 20p haul.
She said: “Best 20p I’ve spent in a long time, these were 1p each from Sainsbury’s.”
Luckily for Heather, she managed to get her hands on 12 packs of sweet and nutty French mountain cheese.
Not only this, but she also nabbed some rich and creamy Bleu D’Affinois too.
She then claimed: “Blue cheese expires in February, the other one in April.
“I will be sharing with friends and [I] left lots for others.”
But Heather isn’t the only one to have nabbed an epic haul.
Becky Gravenell was also thrilled with the bargains, as she took to Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private group with 2.4 million members, to show off her finds.
In a Sainsbury’s in Holborn, Becky nabbed an impressive 41 items, all of which were just 1p.
Thrilled with her cheeses and brandy creams, she penned: “Sainsbury’s cheese bargains – all 1p each!”
For a total of 41p, Becky nabbed eight blocks of rich and creamy blue cheese, four packs of cheddar, five lots of stilton and loads more.
She even nabbed cheese and chutney gift sets, as well as nine lots of Elmlea brandy cream flavoured alternative.
She later claimed: “I didn’t clear the shelf – and there was still some left when I left the shop earlier.”
Amy-Kate Crane is another Sainsbury’s shopper who was over the moon with her cheap finds.
She also took to the money-saving page to show off her reduced finds, as she shared: “All 1p in Sainsburys Weymouth! Even the giant Babybel!”
Not only did Amy nab some black bomber extra mature cheddar and mature Clothbound cheddar, but she also got her hands on a new viral buy – the giant Babybel.
Much to her surprise, the giant wheel of cheese was also reduced down to just 1p, leaving her overjoyed with her finds.
For those concerned about the dates on the reduced items, Amy-Kate later confirmed that hers don’t expire until August.
Social media users were stunned at the 1p buys and were eager to express this in the comments.
One person said: “Best bargain post I’ve ever seen on here!! Well done!! I got some for 20p yesterday and thought that was good .. those gift packs are unreal at that price! Enjoy!!”
Another added: “Now that’s a bargain.”
A third commented: “Congrats to the ladies that got those deals, never leave one behind.”
Whilst someone else tagged a loved one and advised: “Stock the fridge.”
At the same time, another alerted a Facebook user and penned: “Maybe we can go Sainsbury’s on the way home.”
Meanwhile, another cheese lover asked a family member: “You need to go to Sainsburys please and thank you.”
